Another Rainy Day in Seattle – New Single & Music Video Release
Singer-songwriter Sheila Kay releases her newest single, “Another Rainy Day in Seattle,” a soulful and emotionally rich ballad that captures the mood, beauty, and introspection of the Pacific Northwest. Blending blues, soul, and heartfelt storytelling, the song reflects on love, longing, and the emotional storms we all face.
Set against the familiar backdrop of Seattle’s rain-soaked skies, “Another Rainy Day in Seattle” explores the vulnerability of relationships and the quiet moments when memories and emotions rise to the surface. Sheila Kay’s powerful vocals and deeply personal lyrics invite listeners into a reflective journey where heartbreak, hope, and healing meet.
Released alongside the single today is the official music video, beautifully filmed and produced by Michael Miller, bringing the atmosphere of the song to life visually while enhancing the emotional story behind the music.
“Another Rainy Day in Seattle” is the debut single from Sheila Kay’s upcoming album Dancing Naked, a project that promises to showcase her signature blend of soul, blues, and honest storytelling.
Both the single and the official music video are available now, marking an exciting new chapter in Sheila Kay’s musical journey.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Seattle Artist Sheila Kay Announces New Music Project Dancing Naked
Seattle-based singer, songwriter, and performing artist Sheila Kay is stepping fully into her creative power with a bold new music project titled Dancing Naked, currently in production. At 61, Kay embraces what she calls being a “late bloomer,” using her voice and artistry to challenge societal stereotypes around age, womanhood, and visibility—particularly for mature women in America.
Written for a broad audience but centered especially on women in midlife and beyond, Dancing Naked speaks directly from the heart. The project explores themes of freedom, sensuality, healing, self-love, and personal truth, offering a powerful counter-narrative to the idea that creativity or relevance has an expiration date.
“I don’t fit into the mindset that says women have passed their time,” Kay says. “This music is about liberation—emotionally, spiritually, and artistically.”
Kay is currently working in the studio with producer Jeremy Smithson and plans to celebrate the release with a public launch event anticipated for April 2026. Details for the release party will be announced soon.
With decades of experience as a performer and music minister, Sheila Kay continues to use art as a tool for connection, healing, and community uplift—proving that it’s never too late to claim your voice.

" A BLACK VOICE CRYING OUT!"
This powerful piece was written from the depths of my heart in response to the ongoing gun violence and the countless Black lives tragically taken. It speaks to the cries, pain, and outrage of families who have lost loved ones — and to the urgent need for awareness, healing, and change.
