✨ About “Last Night I Cried” ✨ “Last Night I Cried” is a heartfelt journey that began in 2019 as a spoken word piece, emerging from the depths of my soul. It has evolved into a powerful song that seamlessly blends spoken word with music capturing the various phases of my life. Through this piece, I honor every version of myself, reflecting on the challenges and growth that have shaped me into the woman I am today. Inspired by Jill Scott’s “Love Rain,” this song serves as a moment of truth, healing, and self-acceptance, inviting listeners to their own stories.
" A BLACK VOICE CRYING OUT!"
This powerful piece was written from the depths of my heart in response to the ongoing gun violence and the countless Black lives tragically taken. It speaks to the cries, pain, and outrage of families who have lost loved ones — and to the urgent need for awareness, healing, and change.
